Challenge
Apex Finance had ambitions to expand into three new APAC markets but their onboarding pipeline was the bottleneck. Every new account went through a manual KYC queue handled by a team capped at 40 simultaneous reviews. At peak, applicants waited up to 72 hours for approval — a commercial liability as competitors offered same-day accounts.
Strategy
We restructured delivery into three independent tracks — data, compliance, and experience — so progress could happen simultaneously without one track blocking another. A shadow-migration approach allowed the old system to remain live throughout.
Results
The platform launched across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong within the 16-week commitment. The compliance team now handles only the 9% of applications that the risk engine escalates — everything else clears automatically.
